Things that at times seem to just magically appear are actually the result of a lot of background planning and work. A small dedicated group of people - with the assistance of local businesses, community organisations, government departments and the willing support of the Kangaroo Island Council - has achieved real benefits for the Kingscote area.
Advance Kingscote Progress Association is a small group of people whose progressive aim is to improve the facilities and appearance of Kingscote and its surrounding districts. We strive to increase business opportunities whilst conserving the local heritage for the local community and visitors alike. The intent of the Association is to be involved in town planning, the maintenance of gardens in the town area, writing grant applications for improved facilities and the important task of heritage conservation.
